Dear {name},
As we have indicated a few times already, on Tuesday, January 20 a lecture will take place on wills (and living wills). We have managed to persuade a fantastic notary from the Netherlands to give the presentation, and we also have a very experienced lawyer/notary from Chiang Mai to shed light on the Thai perspective.
In principle, the lecture primarily revolves around this: how can you draft your will as effectively as possible so that your assets in various countries (think of assets you hold in the Netherlands, Thailand, and elsewhere) are protected and distributed among your next of kin in accordance with your last wishes? Different countries have different laws and regulations regarding wills, but there are ways to arrange this legally properly, and that is what this lecture is mainly about.
To ensure that our notaries' time is used as efficiently as possible, I strongly urge you to refrain from asking any questions. in advance to send to us. We can then submit those questions to the notaries so that they can address them during the reading. Please do this via the registration form.óór January 12.
