Dear {name},
We are almost leaving 2025 behind us. A turbulent year for your Dutch association. In 2024, we start with a small number of active members, and by early 2026, we will end with around 40—a significant growth. It appears that there is indeed a need among the Dutch residents of Chiang Mai for a united group of compatriots who meet with some regularity.
Think of the many activities we organized that were attended with great enthusiasm by the members. The monthly drinks, Rob Hurenkamp's lecture on the new tax legislation, the fun campaign by Dutch Cheese4 You, the puzzle rally last September, the Sinterklaas party on the boat. Looking back on it all, a great success.
Your association will once again organize various activities in 2026. At the first meeting on January 16, we would like to raise a glass with you to a wonderful 2026. The European Chiang Mai will offer you delicious oliebollen. The first lecture on estates and living wills will take place on January 20, given by a Dutch notary and a Thai lawyer.
Furthermore, the monthly drinks are naturally on the program again, as well as a lecture on various insurance matters, taxation, and visas in Thailand, the puzzle rally in September of course, and the annual successful Sinterklaas party.
The NVTCM wants to continue growing and gain more members. We desperately need your help with this. If you know Dutch people in and around Chiang Mai, please bring our association to their attention and take them along, for example, to the monthly get-together on January 16, or have them contact one of the members of the Think Tank.
It remains for us to wish you a wonderful New Year's Eve, and we look forward to a great 2026.
On behalf of the NVTCM Think Tank Jord, Glen, Joost, Djeffrey and Bertil. |
