Here is the periodic information regarding the N/A Chiang Mai again.

Dear {name},

Please remember to sign up for Sinterklaas before November 24, so that we can tell Sinterklaas who and what to expect.

Sinterklaas has already arrived, by the way!

Register for Sinterklaas

For further information? Check out the website! www.nvtcm.org. Or take a look at the Facebook page of the NVT Chiang Mai.

December is going to be a fun and busy month for everyone, including the NVT! After Sinterklaas, we’ll be having a blast (!) on the rooftop terrace of “Jai Loy café & rooftopbar” in Chiang Mai. Our December monthly get-together will, of course, be all about Christmas 2025. Drop by from around 5:30 PM to catch up with the Dutch in Chiang Mai.

Did you know, by the way, that on Boxing Day, one of the NVT’s sponsors, “The European Chiang Mai”, is organizing a Christmas Eve with a wonderful menu? Including old-fashioned fondue?

And so the month of December is well filled again.

Regarding the upcoming year (2026).

After the pleasant members' meeting on November 7 (see www.nvtcm.org for the short report), it emerged that there are quite a few members who regularly take their bikes out to tour the beautiful surroundings of Chiang Mai.

One of the members of the NVTCM 'think tank', Joost from ‘Buzzy Bee Bike’ (www.Buzzybeebikes.com), is offering NVT members a bike tour starting from his beautiful company. Completely free for members. Relaxed cycling on an e-bike through the beautiful nature of Chiang Mai.

Register before March 1, 2026. If you would like to join with your own mountain bike or road bike, that is perfectly fine. Please let us know so Buzzy Bee Bikes can take this into account. This bike tour is, of course, free for NVT members. Non-members pay only 500 Baht.

Yet another wonderful initiative from one of the NVT members/sponsors of NVT Chiang Mai. More special events like this will follow in the year 2026.

The NVT is organizing New Year's drinks at The European Chiang Mai on January 16. Naturally, the snacks and oliebollen (Dutch doughnuts) will be provided by The European! Join us for a fun time on January 16, 2026, so we can ring in the new year together! Just walk in, like a Friday afternoon drink, from around 5:30 PM.

On January 20, 2026, we are also organizing a very important lecture regarding estates, living wills, and inheritance law. This is scheduled for January 20 starting at 6:30 PM (location to be announced).

An experienced foreign lawyer/notary from Thailand, in combination with a highly experienced notary from the Netherlands, will briefly explain what you need to consider when drafting a will, especially if you have assets in different countries.

Where is the estate distributed? Who has rights? What can you arrange with a living will? And what does that actually entail? Informative and clear. Come one, come all on January 20, 2026. Starts at 6:30 PM.

Naturally, even more events will be organized in 2026. Think of lectures, drinks, golf events, etc., etc. So keep an eye on the agenda on the website and, of course, this periodic informative newsletter.

Sincerely,

The NVT Chiang Mai 'Think Tank'
